Slider
Slider Battcars
offer a lightweight, cost effective way to raise, reef, and douse
mainsails. Hardkote-anodized aluminum cars slide on low-friction plastic
inserts.
Battcar receptacles pivot up and down, side-to-side, and rotate to handle
complex batten loading. The compact car size translates into reduced
weight and stack height.
The headboard assembly uses two cars to handle the high loads and is
compatible with most mainsails. Sliders run on ball bearing track allowing
future upgrades to ball bearing cars. Mix and match sliders and ball
bearing cars for optimal performance and cost.
Use Slider System B Battcars on monohulls with mainsails less than 900 ft˛
(83 m˛) or multihulls with mainsails less than 700 ft˛ (65 m˛).
