MPX Offshore products use the second-tier GORE-TEX® 3 layer system: the Performance Shell (Coastal technology) membrane. This lighter weight fabric is for sailors who need GORE-TEX® protection and comfort for prolonged periods of time on deck, while cruising and racing in foul conditions, but are unlikely to endure the Roaring Forties. The hood system in the jacket features the highest collar of all the MPX products, as well as the traditional double-flap zip and chest hand warmer pockets. In addition to the sailing fraternity, MPX Offshore is popular among RIB enthusiasts.
