AIS 100 Receiver

Picture an onboard display with electronic chart data overlaid with targets for every significant ship within radio range. The Nobeltec AIS-100 listens for VHF transmissions from commercial vessels that are required to carry AIS transmitters. It then converts that data to NMEA format, and sends it to your onboard computer or AIS compatible chartplotter.

By "clicking" the target on your display, you can learn the vessels name, COG, SOG, closest point of approach and time to closest point of approach. This enables you to hail the vessel by name, rather than "Vessel off my port bow".

The new AIS100 unit is a very cool little device and the price is right. The single-channel receive only unit displays targets in the award winning Visual Navigation Software.
