Battslide Mainsail Track System

If you currently have round slug-slides on your mainsail, you probably have experienced the slides jamming in the mast track when you raise and lower the main, especially if you have a fully battened sail.   This system allows you to retrofit your existing round-groove mast track to accept the flat Battslides commonly used to prevent the slides from jamming in the track.  It is also a simple way to replace worn or damaged sail track without re-engineering the sail.

The system features "C" shape track sections made from lightweight T6061-T6 anodized aluminum.  The track sections fit both curved and flat mast sections and are joined by captive aluminum joints to ensure track alignment.  Each section is 7'7" long, and the overall length of the assembled system is 47'10".  The system mounts to the mast with common #10 FH fasteners on 3" centers.  It is designed for use on boats approximately 30 to 45' LOA.
