Electric Winch Conversion Kits
Now you
can upgrade your manual winch to a push button one!
Ocean Winches manufactured since 1992 can now be converted to electric by
installing a new center stem as well as the power drive unit, motor and
switch gear.
This new solution brings an end to the days of replacing your boat's
complete winch system when you've decided the advantages of powered
winches are required.
The “E” Electric Winches
are controlled by a simple single direction Contactor, which can be a
stand alone Nylon encased unit, or a Contactor housed in a Waterproof
Box. The Motor Thermal trip is connected to monitor the Motor
temperature, which ensures a cut out, if the heat builds up to an
unacceptable level, while the Lewmar Safety Electric Deck Switch can be
easily wired.
The “ELS” Electric Winches
are controlled by an Overload Protection Control Box, this allows the
winch to be operated up to a high Load, equivilant to the SWL (Safe
Working Load) of each winch size. When this Load is reached the winch
automatically cuts out.
