Switlik Parachute Company has such an interesting
history, they have their own museum! Established
in 1920 as Canvas-Leather Specialty Company, it began manufacturing leather mail
bags for the United States Post Office Department.
During the 1960's and 1970's, the management of Switlik Parachute Company aggressively
pursued the development of new inflatable products and markets for them. The products
reflected a new emphasis on the "commercial" market and included F.A.A. approved
inflatable life vests and life rafts, as well as U.S.C.G. approved life rafts.
Switlik
rafts require 3-5 days to inspect and pack prior to shipment.
Hazmat charges will be applied to freight cost.
